Guinness Nigeria Profit jumps to ₦26.3bn for 15 months to Sept 2025, marking a strong recovery as revenue doubles to ₦594.7bn

Guinness Nigeria Profit — Guinness Nigeria Plc has returned to profitability, reporting a profit after tax of ₦26.3 billion for the 15-month period ended 30 September 2025.

he results mark a significant turnaround for the brewer, which had previously recorded a loss.

In its unaudited financial statements filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Wednesday, the company revealed that revenue surged to ₦594.7 billion, more than double the ₦299.5 billion posted in the prior 12-month period ended June 2024.

The strong top-line growth was driven by improved sales volumes and strategic price adjustments, lifting gross profit to ₦184.7 billion after accounting for a cost of sales of ₦409.9 billion.

Profit before tax stood at ₦43.8 billion, reversing a pre-tax loss from the preceding year.

After tax expenses of ₦17.5 billion, Guinness Nigeria closed the 15-month period with a post-tax profit of ₦26.3 billion — a powerful sign of recovery for one of Nigeria’s leading beverage producers.

The company’s unaudited balance sheet showed total assets rising to ₦245.98 billion from ₦226.13 billion, reflecting a firmer financial position.

Total equity increased to ₦28.44 billion, while total liabilities amounted to ₦217.54 billion.

Industry analysts say the latest results highlight the brewer’s operational resilience despite inflationary pressures and currency headwinds that have strained consumer goods companies across Nigeria.
