Tonto Dikeh and Churchill reconcile after years of conflict, as the actress shares a hopeful message of healing and peace

Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh and Churchill Olakunle have taken a significant step towards reconciliation after years of public hostility, marking a positive turn in a long and painful chapter of their lives.

Tonto disclosed the development on Saturday, 24 January, via her Instagram page, where she shared an emotional message centred on healing, forgiveness and renewed respect between herself and her former husband.

According to the actress, what followed a decade of public disputes, deep emotional wounds and broken communication was nothing short of divine intervention.

She said peace had replaced chaos in their relationship, adding that what once appeared irreparable had been restored through mercy and humility.

Tonto explained that the reconciliation between Tonto Dikeh and Churchill was not achieved through personal effort but through salvation, sincere prayers and the work of God’s Spirit.

She described the renewed understanding between them as a transformation beyond human comprehension.

She also expressed gratitude to Churchill, whom she referred to as Dr Kunle, for choosing peace and yielding to what she described as God’s word.

She noted that obedience, even after a long and difficult journey, could still birth restoration.

In her message, Tonto encouraged others facing strained relationships or emotional struggles not to lose hope.

She said God had not abandoned them and urged people to keep praying, choosing love and trusting God, even when the process was painful.

She concluded by praying that the restored relationship between Tonto Dikeh and Churchill would remain grounded in mercy and grace, describing it as a living testimony that God never fails.

She added that if reconciliation was possible for them, it was possible for others as well.

The reconciliation comes after years of intense public drama between the former couple.

Tonto and Churchill married in 2015 but divorced in 2017, following allegations of abuse, infidelity and other disputes that played out on social media and in the press.

Since their separation, Tonto has frequently spoken about raising their son, King Andre, largely on her own. She has described herself as both mother and father to him and has openly celebrated her role in his upbringing.

Signs of a thaw in relations surfaced earlier in 2025 when both parents appeared together to celebrate their son’s ninth birthday.

Tonto’s latest post, however, represents the clearest confirmation yet of healing and forgiveness after years of conflict.

Her message has since drawn widespread reactions online, with many describing the reconciliation as powerful and inspiring.
