Big Brother Naija reality show star and Nollywood actress Tega Dominic has been appointed Special Adviser on Sexual Harassment to Abubakar Yakubu, the newly elected President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.

The appointment of Tega Dominic was announced on Thursday via an official post on the Actors Guild of Nigeria Instagram story, marking one of the first key advisory roles unveiled by the new AGN leadership.
Tega Dominic later confirmed the development by sharing her appointment letter on her personal Instagram page, where she outlined a firm commitment to addressing sexual harassment within the Nigerian film industry.
Tega Dominic said her mandate would focus on education, awareness and accountability, stressing a zero tolerance approach to sexual harassment.
She added that her role would prioritise protection and support for survivors, the establishment of safe and confidential reporting systems, and the promotion of a culture where respect is non-negotiable.
The appointment comes amid growing conversations within Nigeria’s creative sector about workplace safety, power imbalance and the need for stronger institutional safeguards for actors and crew members.
Abubakar Yakubu, who recently emerged as President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, has signalled an intention to pursue reforms aimed at professionalism and welfare within the industry, with the advisory role seen as a decisive step in that direction.
Tega Dominic rose to national prominence in 2021 following her appearance in the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition of the Big Brother Naija reality television show.
