Speaking to Metro, Parker said Maguire’s time at Old Trafford has run its course and warned that keeping him could block opportunities for emerging talents.
“You have young talents like Yoro and Heaven on the rise, along with de Ligt and Martinez. Keeping Maguire could hinder the development of these young players,” Parker explained.
On Mount, Parker added: “If a substantial offer comes in for Mount, you have to take it. He has not played a lot of football for United, and he is missing again in games.”
Harry Maguire joined Manchester United from Leicester City in 2019, while Mason Mount moved from Chelsea to Old Trafford in 2023.
