The claims, which circulated widely on social media, suggested that the comedian was not the biological father of Elsie’s children.
Reacting via Instagram, Elsie questioned the authenticity of the reports and challenged the credibility of those spreading the story.
She asked whether Basketmouth was aware of the alleged statement attributed to him, describing the claims as fabricated.
“All you Facebook bloggers fabricating lies. Is Basketmouth aware he made that statement? You can make up unimaginable stories about me, but please leave my kids out of this nonsense!” she wrote.
The firm response marks her most direct rebuttal yet, as the Basketmouth Elsie Okpocha paternity fraud claims gained traction online.
The former couple ended their marriage in 2023 after more than a decade together.
Basketmouth, in a public statement at the time, confirmed the separation and pledged a peaceful co-parenting arrangement while urging respect for their privacy.
The separation has since attracted repeated speculation.
In 2024, an Instagram blogger alleged that a media personality, Victoria, was linked to the breakdown of the marriage, although neither party officially confirmed the claim.
Beyond the rumours, tensions between the former partners have occasionally surfaced publicly.
Elsie previously criticised Basketmouth over parenting decisions involving their teenage son, raising concerns about communication and influence.
In recent months, Elsie has shifted focus towards advocacy and personal growth, offering encouragement to women navigating difficult relationships.
She has consistently urged resilience, noting that individuals can find happiness again after separation.
