Davido headlines Coachella 2026 in historic Afrobeats showcase

Davido Coachella 2026 performance highlights Afrobeats as the Nigerian star joins global headliners in California

Nigerian singer Davido is set to take centre stage at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, reinforcing Afrobeats’ powerful rise on the global music scene.

The globally acclaimed festival, held in Indio, California, has officially begun, attracting thousands of music fans from across the world.

This year’s edition again places Afrobeats firmly in the spotlight, with Davido confirmed as the only Nigerian artist on the lineup.

The award-winning performer will appear alongside major international stars including Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G.

Opening acts featured Sabrina Carpenter, who promised one of the most ambitious performances of her career, alongside rising talents Teddy Swims and girl group KATSEYE, as well as veteran electronic musician Moby.

The opening night will close with Italian DJ Anyma, who is set to premiere his new audiovisual project titled “ÆDEN,” adding a bold visual dimension to the festival experience.

Saturday’s lineup includes a strong mix of global heavyweights.

Justin Bieber leads the bill, supported by top electronic acts such as Armin van Buuren, Adam Beyer, and David Guetta.

K-pop star Taemin and British singer PinkPantheress are also scheduled to perform.

Sunday’s finale promises a dynamic close, headlined by Karol G, with appearances from K-pop group BIGBANG, punk icon Iggy Pop, and electronic legend Fatboy Slim. Other acts include Major Lazer, Foster the People, and FKA twigs.

In a creative addition, festival organisers will host a special screening of HBO’s Euphoria Season 3 under the desert sky, while performances will be streamed live on YouTube for global audiences.

Davido’s highly anticipated appearance underscores the growing global appeal of Afrobeats and marks a defining moment for Nigerian music on one of the world’s biggest stages.
