Nigerian skitmaker Carter Efe has publicly credited music star Davido for playing a significant role in his personal journey, as he continues to face heightened attention in his ongoing rivalry with fans of Wizkid.

In a recent livestream, Carter Efe spoke candidly about his experiences in the entertainment industry, revealing a dramatic shift in his loyalty and admiration for the Afrobeats stars.
He recalled how, in 2023 and 2024, he actively promoted Wizkid’s music releases and publicly supported the Grammy-winning artiste.
However, he claimed that his efforts were not acknowledged, despite what he described as consistent public backing.
Carter Efe stated that Davido had shown him genuine affection and support, describing a personal interaction in which the singer expressed warmth towards him, an experience he said left a lasting impression.
“Davido loves me. He is the one I now want to be with. He held my head and told me he loves me,” he said during the livestream.
The remarks come in the aftermath of Carter Efe’s headline-grabbing victory over controversial entertainer Portable in a celebrity boxing match held in Lagos.
The win, which crowned him a new celebrity boxing champion, was followed by a wave of public attention and celebration.
He was awarded N50 million by businessman E-Money, alongside additional perks including a German visa, further boosting his profile in entertainment circles.
Following the match, Carter Efe was seen socialising with Davido and his entourage at a nightclub, where videos circulated online showing the singer embracing him and congratulating him on his victory.
Carter Efe Davido support narrative has since sparked widespread debate on social media, particularly given the skitmaker’s previous alignment with Wizkid’s fanbase.
Meanwhile, Portable, whom Carter defeated in the boxing bout, has continued to allege foul play, claiming the match was unfair.
