Nigerian media entrepreneur Mo Abudu has dismissed a viral video circulating online that falsely claimed she promoted a scheme allowing Nigerians to earn over N700,000 daily.

Mo Abudu fake AI video scam warning was issued via her official Instagram page, where she alerted the public that her voice and message had been digitally manipulated using artificial intelligence to mislead viewers.

The EbonyLife Group founder clarified that she has not requested money from anyone and would never promote or endorse any financial scheme of that nature.

She described the circulating video as completely fake, misleading, and designed to deceive unsuspecting members of the public.

According to her statement, the original footage being manipulated was taken from an interview she granted in 2023 with Forbes Women Editor Maggie McGrath during the Forbes 30/50 Summit in Abu Dhabi.

She urged Nigerians to disregard the video and avoid sending money to any platform or account linked to the false claims.

She also called on the public to help circulate her clarification widely in order to prevent others from falling victim to scams.

The media executive further emphasised the growing threat of AI-generated content being used to impersonate public figures and spread fraudulent financial schemes across social media platforms.

Her warning adds to increasing concerns among public figures and regulators about the misuse of artificial intelligence in creating convincing but deceptive content aimed at defrauding unsuspecting audiences.
