The Fuji star will lead the entertainment lineup at the third annual cultural celebration, themed “All White Party”, on August 31

Fuji musician Wasiu Alabi, popularly known as Pasuma, will headline the 2026 J Cornerstone Woolwich Carnival in London on Monday, August 31, 2026, as the annual celebration brings together members of the African diaspora for an evening centred on culture, music and community.

The third consecutive edition of the carnival will take place at Parry Place and Spray Street in Woolwich, with this year’s event themed “All White Party”.

Organised by Abiodun Jacob, popularly known as Abbey Oko Oyinbo, the celebration is designed to provide a lively platform for Africans and other members of the wider United Kingdom community to connect with their heritage.

Pasuma will lead the entertainment programme, with event host MC Muffin and other musicians and media personalities also expected to feature during the celebration.

The all-white theme is intended to represent unity, peace and community strength, with guests encouraged to turn up in white outfits for the occasion.

For the organisers, the dress code is more than a fashion choice. It is part of the message behind an event that has gradually developed into a cultural meeting point for members of the diaspora.

Jacob said the carnival’s growth over the past three years had demonstrated the appetite for events that celebrate African identity while bringing different communities together.

“The Woolwich Carnival has grown over the past three years into a critical space for celebrating our shared heritage and unity,” Jacob said.

“With Pasuma, MC Muffin and an exceptional lineup of guest stars on board, the 2026 All White Party will offer an unforgettable cultural experience.”

The appearance of Pasuma adds a distinctive Nigerian flavour to this year’s programme.

The Fuji star has maintained a long-standing connection with audiences across Nigeria and the diaspora, building a career around Fuji music while performing regularly at major cultural and entertainment events.

His participation is expected to give the carnival a particularly strong Nigerian presence, while also reinforcing its broader African cultural identity.

The Woolwich event comes at a time when diaspora communities across the UK continue to use cultural festivals, concerts and community gatherings to preserve connections with their countries of origin and introduce younger generations to African music, traditions and social values.

The carnival’s organisers have positioned the event within that wider cultural role, combining entertainment with a message of togetherness.

Admission to the 2026 carnival is open to members of the public, while attendees are encouraged to embrace the all-white dress code.

With Pasuma at the centre of the entertainment programme, the organisers are hoping the third edition will build on the momentum of the previous two years and establish the Woolwich Carnival as a lasting fixture on London’s African cultural calendar.

For the community expected to gather in Woolwich on August 31, the occasion promises an energetic blend of Fuji music, fashion, cultural expression and celebration, with the all-white theme providing a visual expression of the unity the organisers hope to promote.
