The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old man over the alleged killing of his 80-year-old father in Bindawa Local Government Area of the state.
According to the police, the incident occurred in Bindawa, where the suspect allegedly attacked his elderly father, resulting in his death.
The command said officers responded to the incident and took the suspect into custody as investigations commenced.
Police authorities have not yet disclosed the motive behind the alleged killing, while the identity of the deceased has also not been officially released.
The Katsina State Police Command said the suspect remains in custody and will be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
