Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has expressed his disappointment with racial attacks aimed at Reece James.
The 21-year-old recently took to social media to reveal sickening racist messages sent to him on Instagram.
According to Metro UK citing Mail Online now reports Abramovich has moved to send a personal letter to Blues players and vowed to channel more funding to tackle discrimination.
The Russian oligarch maintained racism “has no place” at Chelsea and in the society, noting that he is shocked the vice is still alive at this age

“Racism has no place in our club nor in our society. Our club is committed to fighting racism, antisemitism and all forms of discrimination. I want you to know that as players you have my and the club’s absolute support,” the letter said.
“Rest assured that we will play a leading role in this vital work and demonstrate that football is a sport that is open to all,” Abramovich added.
Abramovich’s passionate letter to the Chelsea squad came at a time the Premier League has had to contend with racial attacks aimed at black players in recent days.
Manchester United trio Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Axel Tuanzebe are the other players who have been targeted.
West Brom’s Romaine Sawyers also found himself on the receiving end following the side’s dismal performance that has them rocked in a relegation dogfight.

So dire the situation is that United were forced to beef up Martial’s security after it emerged the star forward and his wife had received death threats.
It is understood the Frenchman informed the Red Devils’ hierarchy of his safety, with the club leaving nothing to chance as they moved with speed to have the player’s home protected.
On his part, Rashford shut down his abusers with a strong message on social media, with the Englishman insisting he is proud to be black.
Earlier, it was reported that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich never spoke with Frank Lampard during his 18-month spell as manager of the club according to reports.
Lampard was appointed manager of the club in the summer of 2019 but poor run of results saw him face the axe at the Stamford Bridge outfit.
He became the 14th manager to be fired since the Russian billionaire acquired the club, but among the cheapest as he was paid just £2million in compensation.
