Among the notable appointments is entertainment maven Obi Asika, who will assume the role of Director-General at the National Council for Arts and Culture. His wealth of experience is expected to contribute significantly to the development and promotion of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.

Renowned Kannywood actor and director, Ali Nuhu, is appointed as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation. Nuhu’s extensive experience in the film industry is anticipated to drive the corporation toward greater heights, fostering the growth of Nigeria’s cinema and storytelling.

Other appointees include Tola Akerele as Director-General of the National Theatre, Dr. Shaibu Husseini as Director-General of the National Films and Censors Board, and Aisha Adamu Augie as Director-General of the Centre for Black and African Arts and Culture.

The President has urged the appointees to execute their duties with the utmost professionalism, diligence, and patriotism, emphasizing the need to make the creative sector more vibrant and robust. This strategic move aligns with President Tinubu’s commitment to promoting and preserving Nigeria’s diverse cultural heritage.

The newly appointed CEOs will lead their respective agencies by the highest standards, contributing to the overall development of the arts, culture, and creative economy in Nigeria. The appointments signal a renewed focus on leveraging the potential of the creative sector as a driver of economic growth and cultural enrichment in the nation.
