Angel Smith same-sex wedding announcement sparks reactions as the former BBNaija star reveals plans to wed partner Tumininu in a black-themed ceremony

Former Big Brother Naija reality television star Angel Agnes Smith has confirmed plans to marry her female partner, Tumininu, after sharing details of the upcoming ceremony with followers on social media.

Angel Agnes Smith, a writer and former housemate on the popular Nigerian reality show Big Brother Naija, announced the development on Wednesday through a post on her Snapchat page, where she revealed an official wedding invitation.

The invitation card, shared publicly by Angel Agnes Smith, stated that the ceremony would follow a strict dress code requiring guests to attend in black attire.

“A gentle reminder, this is an all black wedding. Please wear black to celebrate in style with us,” the invitation read.

The announcement quickly drew attention online, marking a significant personal milestone for the reality television personality.

Angel Agnes Smith first made her relationship with Tumininu public in 2025 after posting affectionate videos and photographs of the pair across her social media platforms.

The relationship later gained further public interest when reports emerged that both women had already held a civil wedding ceremony in the United States in January 2026.

The latest announcement appears to signal plans for a formal celebration following the earlier civil proceedings.

The Angel Smith same-sex wedding also comes after the reality star’s widely discussed breakup with fellow Big Brother Naija alumnus Soma Anyama.

Angel Agnes Smith and Soma Anyama began dating during the 2023 “All Stars” edition of the programme but ended the relationship in 2024 after a highly publicised split.

Despite the earlier controversy, Angel Agnes Smith’s wedding announcement reflects a confident new chapter in her personal life, with supporters and critics alike reacting across social media platforms.

The forthcoming ceremony, expected to follow the distinctive all-black theme outlined in the invitation, has already sparked widespread discussion among fans of the former reality star.
