Lawmaker representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Shina Pellar, has decried what he described as the archaic political ideologies being promoted by the leadership in the country and the recycling of leaders.

Pellar, who spoke at the Get Involved leadership training workshop with the focus on ‘Engaging for a new Nigeria,’ held at the Jogor Events and Conference Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State, noted that the leadership in Nigeria was hindering the nation’s development.

According to the lawmaker, the forum was used to reorient the youths on the concept of being a focused leader. Two batches of 80 young participants daily were reportedly engaged in the two-day workshop. He said, “I believe it is high time we rewrote the story of our country and that starts from building our immediate environment. The leaders in Nigeria are the ones making policies that affects our daily lives and businesses. Why can’t we be in the decision-making group?”
