FIFA has approved Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo’s switch of international allegiance from England to Nigeria, clearing him for potential Super Eagles selection.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper, born in London to Nigerian parents, previously represented England at youth levels from Under-15 to Under-18.
Okonkwo has enjoyed an impressive season with Wrexham, making 42 appearances across all competitions and keeping 11 clean sheets.
His eligibility boost is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s goalkeeping options as the national team continues to build depth ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
