‘Battling degradation’ Rotary partners Lambstand, plants trees at Olusosun school (Photos)

The Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa in partnership with Lambstand Gardens on Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 planted trees at Olusosun Primary School to mitigate the impact of climate change in the environment.

Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa under the auspices of Change Maker President, Rotarian (Prince) Adeyemi Aseperi-Shonibare, and its executive members have planted trees to combat environmental degradation in Oregun, Lagos State. The exercise was in line with the aim of beautifying the environment as well as making the environment safe from climate change.

In continuation of the Rotary International, gesture towards safeguarding the environment, the Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa embarked on planting trees at the Olusosun Primary School, Oregun in Lagos State.

The Tree Planting drive-by Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa in partnership with Lambstand Gardens was a successful event and well-executed on Tuesday by commissioning a Botanical Garden at Olusosun Primary school. The plantation drive was well attended by District Chair Environment Past President, Rotarian Henry Akinbobola amongst others.

The Chairman, Planet Earth Committee Rotary Club District 9110, Rotarian Henry Akinbobola, expressed that the club was consistent with the renewed global efforts targeted at stemming the catastrophic tides of climate change. Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa remains committed to Rotary International Focus Area of “Supporting The Environment”.

The Change Maker President, Rotarian Adeyemi-Shonibare appreciates saying “We thank all of you for making this tree planting a huge success” special gratitude to God and our partner, Lambstand Gardens, for your support”, Rotarian Jide Ojo, we appreciate getting the partner that supported us. Rotarian Bello, thank you for the banner, and Rotarian Sunny, we are grateful for the photographs, together we are going forward. he concluded.
