Nigerian music sensation Chiké, widely known for his soulful tunes and captivating performances, has unveiled the official video for his posthumous collaboration with the late Mohbad, titled “Egwu.”

The song, which embodies the infectious energy and spirit of both artistes, is accompanied by a vibrant and colourful visual that serves as a fitting tribute to their musical legacy.

In a poignant gesture, Chiké chose to reduce his own screen time in the “Egwu” video, opting instead to amplify the presence and memory of the late Mohbad, whose untimely passing shook the Nigerian music industry and left fans mourning the loss of a promising talent.

The video captures the essence of “Egwu,” portraying scenes of joy, celebration, and camaraderie, as Chiké and Mohbad’s electrifying vocals blend seamlessly against a backdrop of pulsating beats and rhythmic melodies.

Mohbad, affectionately known as Imole, tragically passed away under circumstances shrouded in mystery, with speculation surrounding his death suggesting foul play. Many have pointed accusing fingers at his former record label, as well as his wife and father, although the exact cause remains uncertain.

The release of the “Egwu” official video marks a bittersweet moment for fans, as they celebrate the musical prowess of Chiké and Mohbad while grappling with the reality of Mohbad’s untimely departure.
