Comedian I Go Save criticizes netizens for price hikes

Comedian I Go Save has sparked a debate on social media after criticizing netizens for increasing the prices of goods in response to fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate. Taking to Instagram, he slammed those who raise prices when the dollar goes up but fail to reduce them when it falls.

I Go Save compared some netizens to politicians, stating that they are worse in some aspects. He questioned why prices remained high despite the decrease in the dollar rate. However, his remarks drew criticism from some commenters who argued that he lacks an understanding of business dynamics as a comedian.

In a related development, I Go Save’s past actions resurfaced, including flaunting his $20,000 hair transplants in 2022, equivalent to 8 million Naira at the time. Additionally, he had previously voiced concerns about the Nigerian music industry, opposing insensitive jokes and urging comedians to address social issues.
