This transformative initiative promises to more than double the country’s existing fuel tanker capacity, offering free product delivery to marketers, petrol stations, manufacturers, aviation firms, and other bulk users of petrol and diesel.
With logistics efficiency at its core, Dangote plans to establish over 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) refuelling stations across the country.
The move underscores the refinery’s commitment to sustainability, energy security, and economic reform.
In addition to reducing costs and eliminating supply chain bottlenecks, the use of CNG trucks supports Nigeria’s environmental goals by lowering carbon emissions compared to traditional diesel tankers.
While some local traders are uneasy about the competitive pressure, many independent marketers see this as a game-changing opportunity that could spur job creation and improve fuel accessibility nationwide.
