In a statement posted on X.com on Friday, the anti-graft agency said the arrests, made on August 15, 2025, followed credible intelligence linking the individuals to fraudulent internet activities.
A pump action rifle and live cartridges were recovered from one of the suspects, alongside six vehicles, mobile phones, and laptop computers.
The EFCC confirmed that the suspects will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
This operation comes just days after the agency’s sting in Ogun State, where 93 suspected internet fraudsters were arrested in Abeokuta following similar intelligence reports.
