Ekiti newborn baby disappearance at Okeyinmi Health Center sparks panic as police arrest four suspects and launch full investigation to recover the missing infant

Ekiti Newborn Baby Disappearance has sent shockwaves through Ado-Ekiti after a day-old baby mysteriously vanished from the Okeyinmi Health Center just hours after birth.

The baby, born on Sunday, August 3rd at around 8 p.m., was reportedly discovered missing the following morning by a nurse on duty.

The discovery threw the hospital staff, the baby’s family, and the surrounding community into a state of panic and confusion.

According to eyewitnesses, the scene was chaotic. “People were crying, staff were in shock. It felt like a nightmare,” said a relative of one of the patients.

Security personnel and health center staff were immediately taken in for questioning by authorities. The Ekiti newborn baby disappearance quickly drew the attention of the state’s law enforcement.

Confirming the disturbing incident, Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu, stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph Eribo, has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to launch a thorough probe.

“The CP has directed a comprehensive investigation to uncover those behind this incident and recover the child,” Abutu said.

He revealed that four suspects have already been arrested and are cooperating with investigators, providing “credible information that will aid the recovery of the baby.”

This tragic and alarming development has reignited concerns about child protection and hospital security across the state. Residents are urging authorities to tighten security in public health facilities to prevent a recurrence.
