In a heartwarming development, the wife of Ondo State governor, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has confirmed that her husband, Rotimi Akeredolu, is on his way back to Nigeria after being ill for some time.
Recall that the governor had been ill for some time now and was reported to be receiving treatment in a hospital abroad.
Anyanwu-Akeredolu took to her X account to share a photo of her husband inside a plane, accompanied by the caption “Homebound 💃🏿😅 👉🏿👉🏿👉🏿 🏠.”
The image shows Governor Akeredolu looking well and in good spirits, raising hopes for his full recovery.
The governor’s illness had raised concerns among the residents of Ondo State, as he had been absent from public functions and important governmental affairs.
