[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ctor Femi Adebayo’s epic Netflix Original Yoruba film, Jagun Jagun, triumphed at the 2024 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, taking home six prestigious awards.
The movie won in categories such as Best Indigenous Film, Best Actor, Best Production Design, Best Special Effects, Best Costume, and Director of the Year, making it the night’s biggest winner.

The 16th edition of the BON Awards, hosted by actress Toyin Abraham, took place at the Sugar Factory Film Studios in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Sunday night.
Jagun Jagun was nominated in 12 categories, showcasing its widespread recognition in the Nigerian film industry.
Femi Adebayo’s win for Best Actor was a highlight, recognising his stellar performance in the film. The film’s directors, Bayo Tijani and Tope Adebayo, also shared the Director of the Year award.
Other notable awards for Jagun Jagun included Best Production Design, Best Costume, and Best Special Effects, reinforcing its quality across multiple aspects of filmmaking.
Other winners at the ceremony included Wunmi Dada for Best Actress for her role in Unknown Soja, and Keppy Ekpenyong, who won Best Supporting Actor for his performance in The Weekend.
