The Federal Government urges the private sector to partner in maximizing Nigeria’s creative economy and talent potential.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Federal Government has called on the private sector to collaborate in harnessing Nigeria’s limitless talent pool to strengthen the economy.
The Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, made this appeal on Wednesday in Lagos during a meeting with corporate entities, art community members, and other stakeholders.

Musawa outlined strategic plans aimed at enhancing the artistic sector’s contribution to the national economy. Key areas highlighted include smart partnerships, growth targets for GDP contribution, skill development, and job creation.
The minister emphasized the vision to position Nigeria as a global cultural hub. “Let’s unify the country, letting everyone around the world see themselves and understand more about us through the expression of our art,” Musawa stated.
She acknowledged the significant impact of the entertainment industry while highlighting the need for subsectors such as visual arts and theatre to become more viable. “Let’s work together; it can add value to the investor and the nation, so no aspect of the creative sector is left behind,” she urged.
Additionally, the minister expressed her eagerness to collaborate with young talents in the country to provide them with the essential support they require.
