18-year-old Nigerian midfielder Victor Ozor Okeke has joined Swedish football club Elfsborg. The young talent, who previously made waves at the WAFU B U-17 Championship in Ghana two years ago, was signed from Nigeria’s Triple 44 Academy.
Okeke, known for his impressive performances on the pitch, has committed to a five-year deal with Elfsborg, furthering his development in European football. His signing marks him as the second Nigerian to join the club, where he will team up with fellow countryman Ibrahim Buhari, who is already an integral part of the squad.
Elfsborg, currently occupying the fifth position in the Swedish Allsvenskan, sees Okeke’s arrival as a strategic addition to bolster their midfield options as they continue their campaign.
Okeke’s move to Elfsborg highlights the growing influence of Nigerian players in European leagues.
