The telecom giant confirmed its sponsorship of the 2025 Ofala Festival in Onitsha, while renewing its support for another three years.
The two-day festival, taking place on 17 and 18 October, is a traditional event hosted by His Royal Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha.
At a recent press conference held at the Obi’s Palace, Globacom emphasised its longstanding support for the festival, which began in 2011.
The company highlighted its belief in the festival’s ability to generate employment, drive revenue, and strengthen cultural pride.
The 2025 festival will feature key highlights such as the Iru Ofala and Azu Ofala ceremonies, alongside other cultural and community events.
Globacom is also focused on improving customer experience by rolling out upgraded 4G-LTE networks in the South East region, ensuring enhanced voice and data services for its subscribers.
In addition, the company announced new product offerings like Talkmasta, which provides extra talk time and data at no extra cost, and the Welcome Bonus package designed to reward new customers.
Globacom stated that its sponsorship aligns with broader economic trends.
