Godwin Awaji-Iroso Abiodun wins Best Physique at Mister Cosmopolitan 2025 prelims in Bangkok, showcasing Nigerian heritage on global stage
Godwin Awaji-Iroso Abiodun has won the Best Physique award at the preliminary competition of *Mister Cosmopolitan 2025 held at MBK Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Nigerian contestant, who recently emerged winner of Misters of Nigeria 2025, is now representing the country on the international stage.
Taking to Facebook to celebrate the win, Godwin wrote: “Best physique Cosmopolitan 2025 all the way from PH to Thailand.”
Alongside his achievement, a Filipino contestant won Best National Costume, while a Thai delegate took home Best Talent.
Godwin also impressed during the swimwear segment, further cementing his standout presence at the prelims.
The creative designer and former Mr Rivers State University 2023/2024 proudly wore Nigeria’s national costume titled “Omu Alabo The Warlord.”
Inspired by King Agbanijike of Bille Kingdom in Rivers State, the attire symbolized the heritage, strength, and warrior spirit of the Niger Delta people.
A total of 18 candidates from across the globe competed in the preliminary round, all aiming for semifinalist spots in the grand finale.
The contestants had earlier received their official sashes at a welcome ceremony hosted at Divalux Resort & Spa, organized by the pageant’s founding committee led by Faiz Noh.
As of Friday, the top five in fan voting included Taiwan’s Shawn Lin Yu Hsiang (21.42%), Indonesia’s Khandy Noprian (19.20%), Sri Lanka’s Harsh D Peiris (17.51%), Korea’s Hanyoung Kim (11.56%), and South Africa’s Sandile Christo Gama (9.96%).
