Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has made key appointments, designating Major Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (Rtd) as the new Corps Marshal of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps Agency (LAGESC), commonly known as KAI (Kick Against Indiscipline).
Additionally, Engineer Adefemi Adedimeji Afolabi has been appointed as the new General Manager of the Lagos State Waste Water Management Office (LASWAMO).

The announcement was made through separate letters of appointment signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro. Both Major Cole and Engineer Afolabi officially assumed their roles on January 25, 2024.
Major Cole brings a wealth of experience to his new position as the Corps Marshal of LAGESC. His appointment is expected to further enhance and streamline environmental sanitation efforts in the state. The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the state, ensuring environmental sustainability.
Simultaneously, Engineer Afolabi takes charge as the General Manager of LASWAMO, responsible for overseeing and managing the state’s wastewater treatment and management initiatives. His expertise is anticipated to contribute to the effective and sustainable management of wastewater, a critical aspect of environmental conservation.
