Guinness Nigeria Unveils Ultra Modern Head Office In Lagos On Friday 3

Guinness Nigeria Plc on Thursday 13th August 2020 notified the Nigerian Stock Exchange about a fire outbreak at one of its external warehouses on Wempco Road, in the Ogba area of Lagos State.

A statement by Odusola Company Secretary/Legal Director said, “The fire was swiftly contained and put under control by responders from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and officials of the Lagos State Fire Service Department.

“Fortunately, there were no injuries or major material loss resulting from the incident as the warehouse is used for storing empty crates.

“Our major production operations take place in our Benin and Ogba Breweries. As we continue to investigate the cause of the fire incident, we say a very big thank you to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and officials of the Lagos State Fire Service Department for their swift response and assistance in containing the fire.

“We also thank everyone who was supportive and reached out to us during the incident. Guinness Nigeria remains committed to ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the communities where we operate and will continue to maintain this standard. “
