Rotary Club community outreach in conjuction with Olukayode Ariike Foundation visit to Little Saints Orphanage delivers hope and love to children in Abule Egba last Saturday
The Rotary Clubs community outreach initiative brought warmth and smiles to the children of Little Saints Orphanage in Abule Egba last Saturday, as members of the Rotary Club of Ikeja Township Provisional, in collaboration with a sister club, Rotary Club of Ikeja Legend led by Rtn. Enitan Ibironke took a break from their planned morning walk to serve a greater purpose.

The outreach replaced the RC Ikeja Township’s scheduled walk, with members gathering at Iretura Media Hub before proceeding to the orphanage at 9 a.m.
The visit was filled with compassion, bonding, and a renewed commitment to Rotary’s values of service above self.
The children were greeted with gifts, words of encouragement, and quality time with volunteers who created a memorable experience of love and connection.
The Assistant Administrator at the orphanage, Mrs. Juliet Abiodun, explained that the orphanage visited by the Rotarians was an all-female home and one of the many homes run by the organisation across Nigeria.
“The all-male home of Little Saints Orphanage is not far from here, but every Sunday we bring them together to fellowship and know each other in order to bond as siblings. Our head office is at Obanikoro where all of them usually go for fellowship,” she said.
After dancing and celebrating birthdays with some of the August-born children, a special child, Hope, who has a gift for bead-making, was patronised by the visiting Rotarians who bought up all her wares
Speaking after the visit, Rtn. Amb. Ariikẹ Olukayode Elegbede, Incoming Chartered President of RC Ikeja Township Provisional, commended the turnout and support from members.
“Thank you to everyone who showed up in the true spirit of Rotary. Moments like these remind us of why we serve — to touch lives and uplift our communities,” she said.
