The publisher of Ebonymediagist.com, an online news platform, Adewole Qudus, is dead.

He was announced dead after a brief illness on April 1, 2022.

Until his death, Qudus was a member of the National Association of Online Security Reporters, NAOSRE.

A former Chief of Army Staff and grand patron of NAOSRE, Rtd Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, while mourning the departed, stated that the news came to him as a shock.

“This is least expected at this time as I recalled reading my stories as Army Chief as well as an ambassador on ebonymediagist blog. And I was particularly looking forward to seeing him and other members soon.

“My condolences to his family, NAOSRE executives and members including the Nigerian media for this sudden death of such a promising journalist,” the Nigerian ambassador to the Republic of Benin said.

Freelanews has been reliably informed the executives and members of NAOSRE are making plans for the burial while a condolence register has also been opened at the association’s Abule Egba office in Lagos.

Adewole Qudus is survived by parents and his young family. May his soul rest in peace.
