It was further claimed, Everton have watched the Union Saint-Gilloise striker and will make more inquiry about his availability in the coming days.
Belgian football journalist Sacha Tavolieri on social media fueled the rumor, claiming the Toffees are really looking at the Nigerian forward.
Tavolieri tweeted, “We are not yet at the stage of formal negotiations but I understand #EvertonFC took initial information on player’s side to glimpse the possibilities of a deal for Victor Boniface.
“There is actually absolutely NO offer for the Nigerian striker on the table of #USG even though the player’s open to a move. Interesting transfer to follow this summer. #EFC #mercato #RUSG”
The 22-year-old forward has been prolific since his switch to Belgium from Norwegian side Bodo Glint.
The Nigerian forward netted scored 22 goals in all competitions last season, and was Europa League joint top scorer along with Marcus Rashford.
