Renowned Mayegun of Yorùbá Land and Fuji music legend, Alhaji Wasiu Olasunkanmi Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, is set to be installed as the highly esteemed Olori Omo Oba Akile Ijebu.
The installation ceremony will take place on September 26, 2023, at the Oba Awujale’s Palace in Ijebu-Ode.

This momentous occasion, organized under the watchful eye of HRM Ọba (Dr) Sikiru Kayode Adetona (Ogbagba II), the Awujale of Ijebu Land, will be a week-long event, commencing on Monday, September 18, 2023, and concluding on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
The traditional rites and installation processes associated with the prestigious title will be observed from September 18 to September 25.
Meanwhile the grand finale, on September 26, promises to be a star-studded affair, with the presence of esteemed guests, including representatives from the presidency, governors, royal fathers, captains of industry, and other dignitaries.
To ensure the smooth running of the ceremony and to avoid any stampedes, the Olori Omo Oba Akile Ijebu has made arrangements at various venues for different guests and the public. These venues will host top artistes performing, while delectable food and drinks will be served.
As the date approaches, the public is advised to take note of travel advisories and any further directives regarding traffic and vehicular movement around the event venues. The planning committee, led by Otunba Sesan Rufai, Chairman of the Media Committee, assures maximum enjoyment and security for all attendees, as meticulous preparations are being made to guarantee the success of the installation ceremony.
