In a statement released on Wednesday, Masha highlighted the party’s focus on reconciliation, unity, and grassroots engagement since his appointment six months ago.
He emphasized that ongoing consultations with key stakeholders have successfully repositioned the PDP as a formidable opposition and a beacon of hope for the people of Kaduna.
Despite acknowledging defections to the APC, Masha asserted that the PDP remains united and resolute. He credited the efforts of the Reconciliation Committee, led by Shuaibu Miqati, for fostering healing and unity among aggrieved members.
“We are focused on consolidating our hold on the National Assembly seats, defending our three senatorial positions, and expanding our representation at both the state and federal levels,” Masha stated.
He criticized the APC-led administration of Governor Uba Sani, accusing them of perpetuating “painful policies” that have worsened living conditions and exacerbated insecurity across several local government areas.

Regarding the ongoing legal battle over local government councils, Masha affirmed the PDP’s commitment to restoring democratic governance by seeking the removal of all 23 chairmen and 255 councillors through the courts.
“There’s no debate that our people desire change, and the PDP is committed to ushering in a new dawn. We will continue to expose the government’s inadequacies and provide credible alternatives,” he said.
Masha expressed optimism that the PDP will build on its 2023 electoral performance and reclaim the governorship seat in 2027, vowing to resist any attempts by the APC to rig the upcoming elections.
