The decision was disclosed by the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Alhaji Junaidu Marshall, following the council meeting chaired by Governor Nasir Idris in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.

Hospitals to benefit from the funding include those in Kambaza, Suru, Kamba, Dirin-Daji, Kangiwa, Koko, and Yauri.
He added that Argungu General Hospital has already been fully rehabilitated and equipped.

The governor has pledged that all 30 general hospitals in the state will be fully rehabilitated before the end of his term.
In further efforts to expand healthcare access, the council also approved ₦570 million for the Kebbi Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KECHEMA).

An additional 42 PHCs will now be rehabilitated using state funds.

Beyond healthcare, other major approvals from the council included:
- ₦900 million for the establishment of the Kebbi State Bureau of Statistics, tasked with generating credible data for planning and policy.
