Gbenga Adeyinka’s Laffmattazz ‘About Time’ lit up Ibadan with epic performances, celebrity appearances, and unforgettable giveaways

Hosted by the Grand Comedian of the Federal Republic, Gbenga Adeyinka, the show lived up to its hype and even surpassed expectations.

Opening the night in grand style, Adeyinka made a dramatic entrance with a ‘Dorime’ dance alongside the ever-vibrant Kiekie, setting the tone for an evening of nonstop laughter, music, and excitement.

The lineup was nothing short of electrifying, featuring powerhouse performances from Mr P (Peter Okoye of P-Square), Terry Akpala, Babatunmise, and Keanzo.

The comedy kept rolling in with heavy-hitters like Kenny Blaq, Omobaba No.1, Taichi, Rapin Dady, Baba Alariya, Mr Escom, Stylo, Kamo State, Creative Tobi, and many others.

DJs Secxy and Mass held the crowd spellbound with crowd-favourite mixes that elevated the event to party status.

The celebrity vibe was undeniable, with Nollywood stars like Sola Sobowale, Kunle Afolayan, Seun Soyinka, Toyosi Adesanya, the Oyin Adejobis, and Lalude gracing the occasion.

Also in attendance were senior executives from FIRS and top radio stations across Ibadan.

True to the Laffmattazz tradition, the night came packed with surprises and giveaways. Fans competed in the Ibadan Yoruba challenge, a spirited dance contest, and even got stage haircuts, thanks to HAIRSENSE Salon, which also gave away 10 clippers.

Bonike Bakery sweetened the event with loaves of bread for the crowd, while Eleganza gifted stylish coolers. Bigi provided unlimited drinks, ensuring no one went thirsty.

“It was more than just laughter—it was a celebration of community, culture, and creativity,” said an excited attendee, still buzzing from the night.
