Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, shared details of the operation on his X handle, emphasising the government’s commitment to tackling such crimes.
Following the raid, the enforcement team extended their activities into a visibility patrol across Lagos, including the Central Business District (CBD) in Alausa.
The patrol targeted street traders causing environmental nuisances along NERD C Road by the Africa Shrine in Agidingbi.
The authorities arrested suspects and confiscated their goods in accordance with the environmental sanitation laws of Lagos State.
In addition to the initial findings, many wraps of suspected Colorado leaves and substances believed to be Indian hemp were also recovered during the operation.
