At a strategic meeting, Engr. Olalekan Adebiyi, CEO of Laralek, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to excellence. The meeting included representatives from His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, Olota of the Paramount, and Ancient Otta.
Laralek’s management expressed their willingness to engage local youths, both skilled and unskilled, in executing the project.
This initiative aims to ensure the road’s successful completion while providing opportunities for youth empowerment and community development. The organisation plans to meet with broader youth leadership to kick-start recruitment and address any misinformation.

Regarding the project’s quality, Laralek, known for significant projects nationwide, reiterated its commitment to delivering a top-notch road within the stipulated timeframe. The company has successfully completed projects at the National Assembly and key roads in Lagos linking to Ogun.
The management also highlighted their past interventions in the Kingdom, including the construction of AIT/Ikola Otta Roads and maintenance of the busy Oju Ore Otta Road. They emphasised creating alternative routes to ease vehicular movement during peak periods as work progresses on the Otta-Idiroko Road.
High Chief Olanrewaju Bashorun, responding on behalf of His Majesty, commended Laralek for their professionalism in addressing challenges. He appreciated the company’s efforts to foster open communication with local youths, which has been instrumental in the project’s progress.

His Majesty assured Laralek of the Kingdom’s unwavering support, noting that the project’s completion will boost Ogun State’s economy and strengthen economic ties across West African countries.
Also part of His Majesty’s delegation were Chief Rafiu Bakare, the newly elected Otta Youth Assembly President, Prince Adefolarin Ojugbele, and Principal Secretary to His Majesty, Prince Adeyemi Sulaimon Olusesi.
