Manchester United have joined Chelsea in the pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen’s rising star Victor Boniface, The 23-year-old Nigerian forward has been in superb form since joining the German club in 2023, scoring 21 goals and providing 10 assists during his debut season.

His contributions were pivotal in Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title-winning campaign, ending Bayern Munich’s long reign of dominance.

Boniface’s explosive start to the current season has caught the attention of top European clubs. In just eight Bundesliga appearances, he has netted seven goals and provided five assists, further solidifying his reputation.

He also opened his UEFA Champions League account with a crucial goal against AC Milan, adding to his growing profile.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United and Chelsea are both keen to secure his services, with a transfer fee ranging between €60 and €80m.

Despite signing young strikers like Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, Manchester United are looking to further strengthen their attacking options. Boniface is seen as a potential game-changer for the Red Devils, who need more firepower up front.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have been searching for a world-class striker to bolster their squad. Boniface fits their strategy of acquiring top young talent.

With a contract running until 2028, Bayer Leverkusen are in a strong negotiating position, and Boniface appears to be focused on his current club, leaving speculation about a transfer in the air as the January window approaches.

Both clubs are expected to monitor his progress closely, setting the stage for an exciting transfer saga.
