Eight top teams from across Nigeria will compete fiercely for the coveted national honours in a round robin format.

Four teams qualified from each conference—the Atlantic and Savannah Conferences—to reach this stage.

The Titans, Air Warriors, Royal Aces, Nigeria Customs, First Bank, MFM, Dolphins, and Bayelsa Wales will battle it out at the Indoor Sports Hall, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Based on performances in the initial phases of the season, the tournament is shaping up to be a tight contest, especially between MFM and former champions First Bank, while The Titans could spring a surprise as potential spoilers.

Perpetua Clement, Chairperson of the 2025 Zenith Women’s Basketball League, expressed confidence that the Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF) is prepared to deliver a seamless and thrilling Final Eight.

She highlighted the diligent efforts by the Musa Kida-led NBBF to ensure everything is in place for the event.

Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank, lauded the progress of the women’s league over the years, noting its role in nurturing some of Nigeria’s finest basketball talents.

She remarked, “We are proud that the league has consistently produced superstars who now excel across Africa. The amazing run of D’Tigress on the continent began here.”

The Final Eight promises not just fierce competition but also a showcase of Nigeria’s growing prowess in women’s basketball.
