The 54-year-old former model took to Instagram on Wednesday, addressing critics of her nude photoshoots, which were a part of her modelling career before marrying Donald Trump.

In the video, Melania asks, “Why do I stand proudly behind my nude modelling work?”
She further questions the media’s portrayal of her photoshoots, stating,
“The more pressing question is, why has the media chosen to scrutinise my celebration of the human form in a fashion photoshoot? Are we no longer able to appreciate the beauty of the human body?”
The voiceover was accompanied by iconic images of nude artworks such as Michelangelo’s “David” and Paul Cézanne’s “Bathers,” as well as John Collier’s “Lady Godiva.”
Melania argued that throughout history, artists have revered the human body, and that her photoshoots should be viewed in the same light.
“We should honour our bodies and embrace the timeless tradition of using art as a powerful means of self-expression,” she said.

Melania Trump’s nude photoshoots, including her well-known session for British GQ in 2000, have been a subject of public interest, especially during her husband’s 2016 presidential campaign.
Although the photos never showed full-frontal nudity, they resurfaced in the media, leading to intense public scrutiny.
The photoshoot took place while she was dating Donald Trump, who she later married in 2005.
Photographer Antoine Verglas, who shot Melania for the 1995 French adult magazine photoshoot and again for GQ, described her as “reserved” and “down-to-earth,” noting that she refused full nudity for both shoots.
This latest post is part of Melania’s wider promotional efforts for her upcoming memoir.
Previous promotional snippets have included reflections on her role as a mother and her thoughts on the 13th July 2024 assassination attempt on her husband.
