Ladipo Plank Market on Fire

Fire outbreak gutted the popular Ladipo Plank Market along Orile Iganmu Road Amukoko, Lagos State, property worth millions of Naira has been destroyed by fire.

While the cause of the fire is yet to be announced, the state fire service officials have reportedly arrived at the scene in an attempt to stop the raging inferno.

Police have taken fresh Action Against an Officer Who Fired Gunshots To Celebrate the Reopening Of the Ladipo Market In Lagos.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police has taken fresh disciplinary action against one of its officers who fired gunshots to celebrate the reopening of Ladipo market in Lagos State.

It would be recalled that the man was captured in a viral online video, firing shots into the air to celebrate the reopening of the Ladipo market while onlookers cheered him on.

The Police, in reaction, promised to investigate the matter. Taking to the micro-blogging site a few days ago, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed that the man had been identified as Inspector Istifanus Kwanchi, serving with the Mobile Police (MOPOL).

He added that the officer has been brought in to face appropriate disciplinary measures.
