Esther’s brother, X user @Mayorjohnson1, first raised the alarm on Friday, detailing how his sister had been travelling from Ajah to Epe on Thursday to stay with a family friend ahead of her JAMB exam scheduled for Friday morning.
Her last communication was a distressing text message indicating she had mistakenly boarded the wrong vehicle.
In a brief but heartfelt message, he wrote: “We FOUND MY KID SIS (ESTHER). Thank God, thank you all! Esther was dropped at Ijebu Ode this morning.”
The alarming text read: “I’m scared I think I entered the wrong car, my eyes are itchy, and it feels like I want to sleep.”
This message ignited fears that Esther may have been drugged after entering an unfamiliar vehicle.
Her failure to reach her destination and the subsequent unreachability of her phone prompted her family to file a missing person report at the Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah, where an investigation was confirmed to be underway.
However, the anxious wait ended on Saturday afternoon with a wave of relief. @Mayorjohnson1 took to X again to share the joyous news that Esther had been found.
