It is no longer news that one of the brightest stars that have come out of Nigeria, OzzyBee is a life changing agent to his generation but the better news is his bold and courageous steps in changing the narratives when it comes to the lifestyle of this generation. Therefore, when he became a teenager, his perception to life changed and now has a more proactive approach to things around him as he now sees monetary gifts to children as seeds and if not wasted, would germinate and give rise to fruits that will yield multiple seeds.

To OzzyBee, also known as OzzyBosco, the 17th of February 2020 will remain history forever as the day he launched a savings scheme for 12 children between the ages of 3 to 17 years tagged “OZZYBEE’s YOUNG SAVERS SCHEME” (OYSS). The kickoff of this continuous venture received the approval and support of Access Bank PLC and was held at one of their Mainland branches in Lagos.

His aim for setting up “OZZYBEE’s YOUNG SAVERS SCHEME” is for young people to cultivate the culture of “EARLY SAVINGS”, as that would help in developing the children into prudent adults who would be financially responsible, children who most likely would be assets to their families or the society at large.

According to him, The OzzyBosco Smile Foundation (OSF) which is the Umbrella Body managing the OzzyBee Brand, has worked out possible solutions to some of the teething problems the teenagers might encounter while opening the accounts. Prior to the account opening exercise, the team would conduct a brief orientation to the recipients where they would be assisted in any area of difficulty and also accompany them to the bank to ensure a hitch-free process.

This first edition was an ice- breaker, impacting positively to the lives of these pioneer beneficiaries, and the exercise which was quite phenomenal, elucidated emotions from parents of the children, the bank officials and passersby who couldn’t believe that such vision by a 13 year old teenager is possible.

As a young Nigerian artiste with huge fan base, OzzyBee sees all his Humanitarian projects as ways of giving back to the society. These projects include “Stop Child Cruelty” a project that has taken him among other place to the ancient City of Zaria in Kaduna State where he put Smiles on the face of then four (4) year old Usman Sadiq whose eyes were brutally plucked by ritualists, “Stop Suicide Africa” another of his campaign instituted to lend his voice to the worldwide call against suicide, especially among young people.

It is worthy of note that the NDLEA Young Celebrity Ambassador OzzyBee, has visited with cash and material donations, many orphanage homes across the country including residents of Oko Oba Resettlement Centre and the riverine dwellers in Makoko area of Lagos being a few of them. He celebrated his Birthday with the pupils of Atunda Olu School for the Physically and Mentally Challenged in Surulere, Lagos.

OzzyBee remains a trail blazer amongst his contemporaries in the entertainment industry and with his newest addition, the “OZZYBEE’s YOUNG SAVERS SCHEME”, he surely will convert young people like himself into responsible teenagers and very successful future leaders.
