NiMet haze forecast predicts sunny and hazy conditions nationwide, with thunderstorms and light rain in southern states
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, on Tuesday predicted hazy and sunny weather conditions across Nigeria from Wednesday to Friday.

The NiMet haze forecast was released in Abuja and covers all regions of the country.
NiMet said the northern region would experience sunny and hazy skies throughout the forecast period.
The agency also projected similar conditions over the North Central region, with dust particles remaining in suspension.
It warned residents to take precautions, especially those with asthma and other respiratory conditions.
In the southern region, NiMet forecast sunny skies with patches of cloud cover.
The agency said isolated thunderstorms accompanied by light rain could occur later in the day over parts of Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River states.
For Thursday, NiMet predicted sunny and hazy skies over the northern and central regions.
It also envisaged sunny skies with cloud patches over the southern states.
Morning thunderstorms with light rainfall are expected over parts of Ogun, Lagos, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross River states.
Later in the day, thunderstorms may occur over parts of Ondo, Ogun, Imo, Delta, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers and Bayelsa states.
On Friday, NiMet forecast sunny and hazy conditions over the northern region in the morning.
Dust haze is expected to intensify over the area during the afternoon and evening periods.
The agency also predicted cloudy skies with sunny intervals over the southern region during the morning hours.
It added that isolated thunderstorms with light rain could affect parts of Anambra, Imo, Abia, Edo, Bayelsa, Delta, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Rivers states.
NiMet advised motorists to drive with caution during rainfall.
It urged airline operators to obtain airport-specific weather reports from the agency for effective operational planning.
