State Chairman, Alhaji Hashimu Dungurawa, disclosed this to journalists in Kano on Monday, stating that the party could not tolerate actions that undermined its principles.
Among those affected is Senator Kawu Sumaila, representing Kano South, alongside House of Representatives members Alhaji Abdullahi Sani Rogo (Rogo Federal Constituency), Alhaji Abdullahi Rurum (Rano/Kibiya), and Ali Maadakin Gini (Dala Federal Constituency).
Dungurawa expressed disappointment with the conduct of these lawmakers, stating that despite receiving complementary tickets during the NNPP primaries, they had allegedly acted against the party’s interests.
He emphasised that their actions contradicted the party’s values and guiding principles, prompting the need for disciplinary measures.
The NNPP chairman reiterated the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline among its members and ensuring that elected representatives remain loyal to the party’s vision.
