Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD), who represents Ogun East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has dispatched a high-powered delegation to Itanrin in Odogbolu Local Government Area to assess and address the recent flooding and erosion challenges devastating the community.
The visit underscores Senator Daniel’s commitment to the welfare and development of his constituents, demonstrating his readiness to advocate for urgent interventions at the federal level.
The delegation, led by Aremo Tunde Adesanya, visited the affected areas to sympathise with residents who suffered losses from the flooding.
Adesanya assured the community that Senator Daniel, having seen the helplessness of their situation, had already forwarded their plight to the appropriate authorities in Abuja for prompt action, promising that succour would arrive soon.
Community leaders and residents expressed their appreciation for the Senator’s swift response.
The Chairman of the Area Community Development Council (CDC), Alhaji Debo Moshood, commended Senator Daniel’s exemplary leadership, describing the visit as the first official response they had received since the flooding crisis began.
“We are grateful to Senator Gbenga Daniel for sending this delegation. This is the first time we are seeing such prompt attention to our plight,” Moshood said.
The delegation assured residents that Senator Daniel would continue to pursue lasting solutions to the flooding problem to prevent a recurrence.
