Senator representing the Ijebu East District at the national assembly and former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has expressed his heartfelt condolences and paid tribute to a departed legend, late Dr. Chris Ogunbanjo, a renowned figure in the corporate world, legal profession, and a distinguished community builder.
In a statement issued earlier today, the lawmaker conveyed his deep sadness over the loss of Dr. Ogunbanjo.
He stated, “Nigeria may have lost one of her legends in the corporate world, the legal profession, and a community builder. Dr. Ogunbanjowas not only an accomplished professional but also a dedicated individual who worked tirelessly to uplift his community and country.”
Late Dr. Ogunbanjo’s influence extended beyond his professional accomplishments. He held prestigious traditional titles, including the Olotu of Ijebuland and Lerinja of Egbaland, showcasing his deep connection to the traditions and culture of Nigeria.
Otunba Daniel emphasized that the late Dr. Ogunbanjoserved as a role model to many, inspiring countless individuals with his dedication to excellence, ethics, and leadership.
In this time of mourning, Otunba Gbenga Daniel called upon all Nigerians to remember Dr. Ogunbanjo’s contributions to society and strive to carry forward his legacy of community development, professional excellence, and moral integrity.
Furthermore, the former governor offered his prayers and well-wishes, saying, “I can only pray for his permanent repose to find favour and compassion with his maker; I wish his family the strength to bear this passage during this period.”
