‘Passion for devt’ TAAG enumerates Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade achievements

How best can one describe the passion for development emancipation of his people other than making sure socioeconomic progress of his community remains his priority.

This described what Honourable Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade has been doing for his people five years after holding elective position, The Abiodun Akinlade Group (TAAG) has said.

According to the group, Honourable Biodun Akinlade ensured that every given opportunity was expended in bringing succour to the lives of his people and his immediate community. Year in year out, it has always been facilitating either road, electricity, employment, empowerment, and others for the people of Ogun state.

It was in this regard that in the last one year he has been able to facilitate several projects to the good people of Yewa South and Ipokia Federal Constituency and Ogun state in general.

Honourable Akinlade is an household name in so many ways to different people; a politician, philanthropist and religious leader.

Over the years, he has proven his worth by giving back to his community and Ogun state at large as someone who has represented his federal constituency for three consecutive to between 2003 and 2015.

He has brought so many developmental project facilitated employment and provide empowerment to his people.

Some of the projects facilitated by Hon. Akinlade include but not limited to the unlisted;

  • Facilitation of multimillion naira ethanol processing equipment for ethanol factory at Bioresource centre, Owode-Yewa.
  • Entrepreneurship Skills acquisition: Three (3) days entrepreneurship development training for 120 people on detergents and soap production technology, Zobo production technology, starch production technology, air freshener and fragrance production technology etc.
  • Employment Drive: Due to his passion and his love for the youth, five additional youths from Ogun West got employment into Federal government Agencies at Abuja
  • Commissioning of Multipurpose Hall at Ijofin. As his love for his people remains indelible, he commissioned a multipurpose hall named after the town monarch, Oba Raufu Awode, at Ijofin in Ipokia Local Government.
  • Construction of Students’ Hall at Area Community High School, Owode, completed but yet to be commissioned.
  • Provision of 5000kva transformer at Nabda Isaga, Ilaro road.
  • Electrification of Akinlade Road at Isga Owode.
  • Construction and Commissioning of Hon. Abiodun Akinlade road at Bio-resource environs.
  • Capacity building training of 300 people on various fields of agriculture namely: fishery, snail breeding, grass -cutter, and propagation of breadfruit and plantains,
  • Scholarship Award: Recently, He gave full scholarship award (with full boarding from JSS1 to SSS 3) to the best primary six student from Baptist Primary School Oke-Odan, Yewa South and one indigent student from primary school Agosasa, Ipokia Local Govt into The Gem int’l School, Owode Yewa, Ogun State.
  • Social Welfare: In his own personal efforts in this COVID-19 pandemic, he provides succour to various people by providing cash and food items.

It was in recognition of his impressive records and antecedents that the Nigerian president, Muhammad Buhari, appointed him a federal commissioner in Federal Character Commission, Abuja.
