These roles are effective immediately, with the President underscoring the non-executive nature of the positions to ensure efficient management.

Key Appointments

Among the notable appointments are:

  • Hon. Hillard Eta as Chairman of the National Youth Service Corps.

  • Sen. Magnus Abe as Chairman of the National Agency for Great Green Wall.

In addition, Dr. Kayode Isiak Opeifa has been named Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, while Raji Kazeem Kolawole has been appointed Director-General of the NBTI.

Emphasis on Non-Interference

President Tinubu has directed the newly appointed board chairpersons to refrain from interfering with the day-to-day operations of their respective organisations.

This directive aims to uphold the autonomy of management teams and enhance operational efficiency.

Diverse Appointees Across Sectors

The appointments reflect a wide range of sectors, from health and education to environmental management and transportation:

  • Barr. Felix Chukwumenoye Morka is now Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa.

  • Comrade Mustapha Salihu has been appointed Chairman of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.

  • Isa Sadiq Achida takes on the role of Chairman at the Raw Materials Research and Development Council.

Why This Matters

These appointments are expected to drive reforms and innovation within critical federal organisations, fostering development in sectors vital to Nigeria’s growth.
